From the Principality

to your cabinet

Long before tourism, yachts and the Grand Prix, agriculture was the mainstay of the Monegasque economy. Even today, 600 bitter orange trees line the streets of the Principality. Once a year, the sun-kissed citrus fruits are hand-picked and brought to our atelier, where their zest is infused with the finest alcohol to create the authentic taste of L’Orangerie.

Our simple, but secret, recipe

The harvest of the bitter orange crop takes place in Monaco between January and February each year. We wait patiently for the fruit to mature and ripen to its optimum state before gathering and starting the transformation to a fragrant, zesty and bursting with flavour liqueur.

Our secret is simple; we use the best fruit available, we wash and peel with great care, and we macerate slowly and diligently to extract all of the amazing flavour from the fruits. Once the magic has happened, the liqueur goes through low-temperature filtration to remove any excess oils and is finally ready to be bottled and enjoyed.
